Spirit and Wine Bottles added to QLD Container Return Scheme

Exciting news! Re.Group and Return-It QLD are thrilled to hear about the planned expansion of the Queensland container refund scheme to include wine and spirit bottles.

As a leader in resource recovery solutions, we believe that high-quality recovery through the CRS is a great way to improve the quantity and quality of materials recovered, reducing waste, and protecting our environment. With this new addition to the refund scheme, we are one step closer to achieving our goal of creating a circular economy where resources are kept in use for as long as possible.

Return-It is committed to making it easy and convenient for Queenslanders to recycle their containers and receive a refund. Our network of return points across the state helps ensures that recycling is accessible to everyone.

As Environment Minister Meaghan Scanlon MP said, the move to expand the scheme is an Australian first and followed public consultation showing close to 100% support.

We are proud to be part of this important initiative and look forward to continuing our partnership with Containers for Change QLD and the Queensland Government to make recycling a priority in our communities.
